Dynamic Identity

DynamicID_LogoIn a multiple session workshop the Dynamic Identity (DI) project prepares its participants for a more reflected and more responsible online presence. Using both modern technology (‘Augmented Reality’) and proven technology (film) DI confronts participants with their online choices and assumptions about themselves and the reception they will receive. A mix of exercises, theme introductions, discussions and evaluations leads to surprising insights. After the workshop participants should commit far less errors of judgments and should have a more realistic view on what it is to be online.

The basic assumption of DI is that online information matters – both the information that  I provide on myself and information others provide on me. From all this online information my online identity emerges. This identity is always in flux, hence the name of the project.

Dynamic Identity was developed together with Fundacja Citizen Project and was first piloted in 2011 at the ZSO Nr 6 school in Gdansk, Poland. The 2012 edition of the project was co-financed by the Polish Minister of Culture and National Heritage and endorsed among others by the Polish Ministry of Culture and National Heritage, the Polish Ministry of Administration and Digitalization, the Polish National Centre for CultureGdańsk police and the Gdansk Centre for Addiction Prophylactics.
