On December 4, 2014 in the historic Waag building in Amsterdam, the Netherlands [venue address: Nieuwmarkt 4] the international conference “Talking About Taboos – addressing social exclusion” will take place from 20:00 to 22:00.
Entrance is free.
Experts from the UK, Poland, France, Italy and the Netherlands will reflect on ways to talk about (perceived) social exclusion.
The program:
- 20:00 – Arjan Verdooren (KIT) and guests – A conversation about social exclusion
- 20:30 – Lewis Smith & Dave Tynan & Rikesh Mistry & Junaid Hussain (everIS Limited), Rodney Rijsdijk (Rodzooi), Remko de Jong and Onno Hansen (Ezzev Foundation) – How can sports be an inspiration for talking about social exclusion?
- 21:00 – Vera Varhegyi & Clara Malkassian (Elan Interculturel) and guests – Juggling with political correctness and manifestations of racism in trainings
- 21:30 – Joanna Kiliszek (Adam Mickiewicz Insitute), Beata Staszynska (Fundacja Citizen Project), Roy Voogd & Onno Hansen – How can art be an inspiration for talking about social exclusion?
All blocks consist of a 5 minutes introduction, a 15 minutes dialogue and a 10 minutes interaction with the audience.
