The moderator is the facilitator of the online meetings. Before and after the meetings the moderator is in contact with all participants. During the meetings the moderator enforces the meeting protocol, stimulates the participants to communicate, and interferes when participants judge, condemn or insult other participants or otherwise endanger group cohesion and/ or individual participant dignity.
While the moderator is the soul of the online meetings, the moderator only fulfills their role and is not ‘more equal than others’. No hierarchy is to exist within the group.
- For those willing to take up the role of moderator moderator guidelines were created.
